Sometimes a finished picture looks nothing like you thought it would when you first take on a project. My experience as an editorial photographer has taught me to shoot in whatever situation I end-up in and make the most of it. This could be rain when expecting sunshine, for example. Whatever happens, it’s so important to come back with usable shots on my memory card.
I recently shot some arial acrobats at a fitness studio in Bankside, London. Showcasing their talents, the acrobats took to various apparatus including silks, slings, hoop, rope and trapeze.
Sadly, the location turned-out to be rather unpicturesque. The owners of the fitness studio may have created a fantastic space to work-out and practice skills, but photographically, it had the appearance of my old school sports hall. As a result, I decided to edit the backgrounds out of my final images and replace it with a hand-painted masterpiece background.
I hope you like the set and if you’d like me to shoot a set of images for you, get in touch.
